WINTERSESSION 2024

Israel is a high-tech powerhouse, often dubbed the "Start-Up Nation." This is for good reason -- Israel has the highest number of startups and the highest VC investment per capita of any country. And it has the third highest number of companies listed on NASDAQ (after only US and China)!

Israel TigerTrek consists of a group of 15-25 Princeton students spending one week in Israel. The itinerary is split between intimate, off-the-record Q&As with top Israeli tech leaders and engaging with Israeli cultural and historical activities. ITT aims to both introduce participants to the unique opportunities, problems, and challenges faced by those in the Israeli high-tech sector and examine how the features, history, and culture of Israeli society contribute to its entrepreneurial character.

“I became a part of E-Club and joined TigerTrek because I believe in the power of Israel's innovation and its impact on the world. As an Israeli, I hold a strong connection to the land and its people, and I see the potential for others to be inspired by experiencing the country's high-tech ecosystem. This exposure could ignite a spark of innovation in fellow students and provide them with a richer understanding of Israel's culture. The most meaningful aspect of the community for me is the shared passion for entrepreneurship. The constant exchange of ideas among members is a driving force that not only fuels personal and professional growth but also cultivates an environment where innovation can truly flourish.”

Hi, I am Ilay Furman, a Junior in CS department. When I'm not coding, I'm all about basketball and playing my guitar. I am also on the Princeton's track and field team, and I'm extremely excited to lead the next Israel TigerTrek!

This year we will:

  • Continue to uphold our commitment to students learning from Israeli-innovations through a personal connection.

  • Create a lasting partnership with Israeli IDC University students studying entrepreneurship, to work on a mutually planned, organized and executed project.

  • Teach students valuable skills in project oversight, management, and innovation while working across timezones and through uncertainty.

  • Establish a personal connection with a student oversees to create a meaningful long-term “Hackathon” project.
