A new addition to E-Club, IgniteSTEM is a one-day event which brings together education thought leaders in New York City this spring to learn and share ideas about modern approaches to disrupt high school, university and nonprofit STEM classrooms. The conference is backed by both Princeton E-Club and Columbia CORE, and it aims to provide participants with take-home skills and leading edge ideas through hands-on teaching methods such as hackathons, maker spaces, design thinking and flipped classroom approaches. If you want to take part in shaping an innovative event, apply to the team!
The Careers Team brings entrepreneurship to campus by connecting Princeton students with startups across the country. Last year, we partnered with Career Services to organize Princeton's first-ever Startup Meetup, a startup-only career fair that hosted more than 50 startups, attracted more than 350 Princeton students, and helped many students land internships and full-time positions at exciting companies. This year we are expanding our vision to have an even greater impact on the career opportunities available to Princeton students.
With New York City being such a large entrepreneurial hub, why shouldn’t students draw on the proximity of local companies to help them learn and grow? NYC TigerTrek was created to solve this problem, and runs month trips to New York where students tour companies, meet their founders, and come back with a better sense of what’s out there. The team organizes and leads these exciting trips!
TigerTables are small lunches/dinners to bring students together with entrepreneurs in to learn about their journeys to success in an intimate setting. This is a chance for students to hear from CEOs and entrepreneurs off-the record and unscripted, allowing you an inside look at their story.
Startup Classes provides a platform which allows student instructors to share skills and experience with their peers. Our team organizes weekly classes targeted at those just getting started in technology or entrepreneurship. This involves selecting instructors and course offerings, organizing schedules and class infrastructure, and working on ways to keep students engaged. We’d love your help!
