Posted on 02/20/10 in News, No Comments

Thanks to everyone who came out today to TigerLaunch Super Saturday. It was great to see so many terrific teams this year in both the business and social entrepreneurship tracks, and the judges had a very difficult time deciding on the winners. Here they are:

TigerLaunch 2010 Business Entrepreneurship Track Winners

  • 1st place: CoAx Systems (Alex Gasner ’10) – $5,000 + TigerLaunch@Plug and Play
  • 2nd place: TransACTion Technologies (Leah Cohen-Shohet ’12, Danielle Cohen-Shohet ’12) – $3,000
  • 3rd place: ReVino Reclaimed Wine Bottles (Jacob Hiller ’10) – $2,000

TigerLaunch 2010 Social Entrepreneurship Track Winners

  • 1st place – Innovation, Inspiration and Impact Co-Winners:
    • Cocherapy (Caroline Clark ’11 and Jennifer King ’11) - $3,000
    • em[POWER] (Faeez Ul-Huq ’12, Fahad Shams GS, Michael Smith ’10, Jacob Hiller ’10, Dalia Nahol) - $3,000
  • 2nd place – Special Inspiration Award: Sauti Ya Kina Mama (Daniel Echelman ’11, Kate Adamson ’11, Fatu Conteh ’10) - $2,000
  • Special Impact Awards (3rd place/Honorable Mentions):
    • Filtron Nigeria (Hazel Miranda, Payal Hathi, Sehar Tariq, Jessie Buendia) - $1,000
    • ITSERA (Cally Robertson, Chris Lumry, Trace Feng) - $1,000

This was an awesome competition, and we’d like to once again thank the EClub team for making it happen, the judges, mentors and advisors of the teams themselves and the club, and our great sponsors (Howard Cox ’64, ReachOut56-81, Plug and Play Tech Center, Gunderson Dettmer, USG Projects Board, Keller Center for Innovation in Engineering Education, Davis International Center, Princeton U-Store).

In conclusion, we hope to see most of the teams execute on their business plans (we have a remarkable statistic – every winner of TigerLaunch in the 10 years it’s been held has launched a company), and we hope that you’re inspired to participate next year if you haven’t yet taken part in the competition.

Best wishes,

James and Nikhil
