<hr />Please join the Princeton Entrepreneurship Club for a talk by <strong>John Katzman ’81, Founder and former CEO of The Princeton Review and now Founder and CEO of 2tor</strong>, and <strong>Jeremy Johnson ’07, Founder of Zandigo and now EVP at 2tor</strong>, about their new startup, 2tor.</p>
<p>Founded by a unique team of education veterans with unparalleled experience, 2tor Inc. partners with preeminent institutions of higher education to deliver rigorous, selective degree programs online.</p>
<p>2tor supplies universities with the tools, expertise, capital, and global recruiting needed to compete in a space currently dominated by unexceptional programs. 2tor develops state-of-the-art technology platforms that enhance traditional offline curricula to create transformative instruction using the best educational and Web 2.0 technologies.</p>
<p>Mr. Katzman and Mr. Johnson will be speaking about their personal entrepreneurial stories, the future of higher education, and what 2tor hopes to accomplish. The event promises to be extremely enlightening for anyone interested in entrepreneurship, education policy, or technology.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Speaker Bios:</span></p>
<p>John Katzman graduated from Princeton University in 1981, and founded The Princeton Review. He served as President and CEO from 1981-2007; during that time, the company grew into one of the strongest brands in education. In 2008, Mr. Katzman founded 2tor, an online education startup, and serves as its CEO. He is the co-author of five books on testing and college admissions, and is a frequent lecturer and panelist.</p>
<p>Jeremy Johnson serves as the Executive Vice President of Marketing at 2tor. He took a leave of absence from Princeton University in 2006 after receiving funding for a web startup, which was acquired by Zinch.com. He joined 2tor in 2008, and served as the company&#8217;s CTO before moving to his current position.</p>

<h3>Speaker Profile:</h3>
<div>Mr. Joe Allegra is the General Partner of the Edison Venture Fund, one of America&#8217;s top ten venture capital funds. He was also a co-founder of Princeton Softech, which was named twice in America&#8217;s 500 list of fastest growing companies. He was a finalist in the Ernest &amp; Young Entrepreneur of the Year.</div>
<p>Joe is a General Partner of Edison Ventures. He focuses on investment opportunities in New Jersey, New York and New England, usually involving wireless applications, interactive marketing, enterprise and systems software.</p>
<p>As a board member, Joe contributes marketing, sales, technology and general management expertise from his many years in the software industry and as an entrepreneur. He was a co-founder and CEO of Princeton Softech, which he guided to $40M revenue. Princeton Softech was a rapidly growing, profitable company that developed and marketed database products to Fortune 1000 companies. Princeton Softech was named twice to the INC. 500 list of fastest growing companies.</p>
<p>Earlier, he was VP of R&amp;D for Computer Associates, following its acquisition of Applied Data Research. He was product manager, led product support and headed R&amp;D during 12 years with these enterprise software companies. Joe also provided strategic consulting services to several technology companies.</p>
<p>Joe was a finalist as Ernst &amp; Young Entrepreneur of the Year. He received the NJTC Technology Supporter Award in 2003. He co-founded the Software Association of New Jersey, served as Chairman of the New Jersey Technology Council, and led the initial financing for the NJTC Venture Fund.</p>

<p>Breanden Beneschott President and acting Head of Technology:</p>
<p>Breanden brings to smsPREP a wealth of experience as CTO, senior developer, and consultant for companies as diverse as Cellutopia, Admish, Snafue, Smith + Jones, 2Tor and Lightspeed Venture Partners. A Chemical Engineering major at Princeton University, Breanden is dedicated to using technology to benefit others. At smsPREP Breanden works tirelessly to ensure that our students have a smooth, enjoyable experience.<br />
Kellam Conover Operations and Head of Curriculum Development:</p>
<p>Kellam comes to smsPREP after completing his PhD (Classics) at Princeton University. He has written copy for a number of tech-based companies, including Zandigo, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and VigLink. A teacher at heart, Kellam strives to make smsPREP&#8217;s questions and answers as effective and educational as possible. He will begin Stanford Law School in the fall of 2010.<br />
Eliot Kalmbach Co-founder:</p>
<p>Eliot was a Geophysics major at Princeton University before his untimely death on a hiking expedition in the fall of 2009. A brilliant outdoor scientist, Eliot had conducted research on volcanoes in Russia and archaeological research in Syria; he had also worked at the Lee Institute for Japanese Art prior to smsPREP. He was a question writer, advisor and wonderful friend whom we miss dearly.</p>
